Don Naylor and Associates were retained by the Metro Region Conservation Authority to restore a channelized reach of the Upper West Don River as it flows to Rupert's Pond. The design parametres called for the naturalization of the channel and the reintroduction of the former stream meander pattern. Through various erosion control and bioremediation techniques, productive habitat was restored and overall water quality was improved.
